Real Steel is finally out. I spent a year on this show as Lead Texture artist. Worked on pretty much every asset on the show over the duration. The bots that I textured in full were Metro (junkyard bot), Ambush (bull fight), and Albino (background bot). I painted the majority of the damage passes on all bots as well. Here are a few images of the assets I worked on.

Heading back to Motion Theory/Mirada for my next gig. Love the DD folk, hope to return at some point as well. In my brief time off I started playing around with personal project, unfortunately did not get very far on it before returning to work. Here is a sneak peek.

Tron has been released! And also the trailer for my current show, "Real Steel", is out. I will have a lot more to show when Reel Steel is done and released, we've done a ton of asset work on this show, being lead on this show has kept me busy! Textures on Tron was not the most exciting job I've had, but the final imagery is very nice, and the stills below feature some of the assets I worked on. Also two stills from the Real Steel trailer that feature bots I textured.

NCAA and the future

Wrapped up a few Commercials at Motion Theory, one spot for NCAA and another for SoyJoy. Here is a behind the scene render of the asset built for the NCAA piece, the subject was John Wooden. I textured and look developed this model, including shaders and eyes, the image you see here is 100% Maya render, no post work.

Wrapping up my stay here my 4th show at Digital Domain. Among them, Tron: Legacy and Percy Jackson. (If you haven't seen it yet, check out the Tron: Legacy teaser). In the past couple of months I've dabbled in a few little projects outside of work. Here are some miscellaneous renders from those.

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen

Well I've been busy on Transformers, but I figured an update was in order. This is something I cooking up when I could find time, hopefully to grow into a full blown 3d collab.

Small update. I'm currently at Digital Domain, working on Transformers2. I recently found some old images I thought might be interesting.

First one, a red ant done for a test for a possible film sequence.

Second one, a digital double of Orlando Jones that was cut. This render only features color, displacement, and very rough bump maps. No subsurface or anything yet. This double I'm most proud of and never got to finish it. Model/Sculpt by Cajun Hylton.

I also found this image, which I think shows the crocodile from Primeval pretty well. We added more loose skin around his neck on this render.
